Delia Aurora Gonzales Del Valle was a Cuban immigrant who gave birth to Adolfo Constanzo at 15 years old in Miami, Florida on November 1, 1962. Adolfo’s father had died when he was just an infant so naturally, Delia moved back to be with her family in Puerto Rico. Shortly after she moved back, when Adolfo was about 6 months old, she had him secretly baptized by a Haitian priest of the “Palo Mayombe” religion. This religion came from an African decent carried over to the new lands by slaves. Palo Mayombe was the darker side of Santeria.

While Delia was living in Puerto Rico, she had remarried a man of the Catholic religion. Although Adolfo was already secretly baptized, he played along with his stepfather's wishes and was baptized into the Catholic region and even served as an altar boy. e so your own moral judgment on a situation. For this reason, it became popular among the drug lords and criminal groups all over. For example, when they murdered someone who was unfaithful to the cartel, it was in good moral judgment because he or she deserved it.

The priest that baptized Adolfo declared him to be the “chosen one” and that he was destined for great power. This turned out to be a very valid statement.

While Delia was living in Puerto Rico, she had remarried a man of the Catholic religion. Although Adolfo was already secretly baptized, he played along with his stepfather's wishes and was baptized into the Catholic region and even served as an altar boy.

At this point, he was literally living two different lives before he was 10 years old. He was learning secret voodoo ritual, black magic on secrete trips to Haiti with his mother, while attending catholic church as a family for his stepdad, presenting himself as an Alter boy. Adolfo was kept secluded from most things in life, his mother was creating a very narrow vision for her son on how life was supposed to be and what he was supposed to do. He grew up rather lonely, but at the same time, he did not know any different.

Delia and her husband decided to take Adolfo and move back to Miami in 1972. Shortly after this his stepfather became sick and died of cancer in 1973 leaving the family with some money so they remained in Miami.

Since his stepfather was no longer around, Adolfo didn’t have to hide his secret religion as much as he did before. He even began a sort of apprenticeship in his preteens with a Haitian priest in Little Havanna who taught him how to manipulate people, sell drugs to the weak-minded, and how to make sacrifices to gain power.

Neighbors of Delia and Adolfo complained no matter where they lived. Neighbors said that they would find dead animals with their heads chopped off on their doorsteps. The animals would appear after they had some sort of altercation with the mother or son. Delia was even arrested for harboring 27 animals in her tiny apartment. When police entered the home, the floors were covered in blood from the animals that had been sacrificed along with feces.

Adolfo had finished high school but dropped out of junior college. He was offered a modeling job in Mexico, so he took his mother and they moved to Mexico in 1984. There he made side money by predicting futures and doing tarot card readings on the streets. His predictions were coming true and his reputation was built. He was gaining everyone’s trust because they started to believe in his rituals. Soon he started offering spiritual cleansings and magic spells to the city’s elite. He was doing “black magic” for law enforcement, actors, political involvement, literally everyone and anyone.

As Adolfo became older, Delia believed that her son had psychic powers. She believed that he predicted the attempted assassination of President Ronald Regan in 1981, but that was never proven to be true nor untrue.

Around this time his mother had yet again remarried to a man that was involved in voodoo and drug lords. He later died, leaving Delia a mother of 3 with 3 dead husbands.

Adolfo had been hanging around gay clubs and leaned more towards the gay neighborhoods. He was bisexual but preferred men over women. He used his looks and charms to manipulate people. This is how he met his first real followers Martin Quintana Rodriguez and Omar Chewe Ochoa who became his lovers and disciples. He told them to call him “El Padrino” which means “The God Father”.

As a group, they started selling Adolfo’s fortune-telling and rituals. They started selling to drug lords and cartels. He would use animal sacrifices in his rituals such as chickens, goats, and cats. For a higher price, he would also use exotic animals like zebras and lion cubs. He was doing so many sacrifices and cleansings his lifestyle became luxurious. He raked up over 10,000 from one family in one year.

Soon he had recruited more followers and started sacrificing more for drug lords. To increase Adolfo performances, he started raiding cemeteries for human bones. He would put them in a cauldron along with sticks, dead bugs, animal blood, and other items as an offering to the spirits to do what he had asked of them. He became obsessed that his powers were real, and he was untouchable.

He started to intensify his rituals with human body parts and not just the bones. He and his clan were kidnapping, raping, sodomizing, and then gruesomely murdering people who are under the radar. They were killing homeless people, drunks, prostitutes, minor drug dealers, basically, anyone who they knew would not draw attention to themselves. He would also murder his own followers if he felt they were not being obedient. He thought of himself as a god. He was offering the spirits, hearts he just cut out of the body, brains, bones, blood, eyes, testicles, arms, legs, and everything else. Some of his followers would make necklaces out of their victim’s vertebra. He took whatever he wanted and felt as if the black magic was making him stronger especially when they would drink their victim’s blood.

In 1986 he met the Calzada family who was one of the main cartel families in Mexico. They hired him to do protection spells when they transported drugs over the border. One time after the ritual, a shipment of narcotics was being driven over the border and the driver went straight through the checkpoint without being stopped or caught. The family became hooked to the black magic.

The Calzada’s came into a great fortune over the next year, profiting from undetected narcotics. Adolfo believed that he was responsible for all their fortune and that they owed him for it. In 1987 He demanded partnership with the family, saying they wouldn’t be where they were without his magic. Of course, the Calzada family refused his offer. Adolfo was outraged and did his black magic on the family.

Mysteriously the next few days seven members of the Calzada family went missing. Adolfo and his cult had kidnapped them. Sacrificing their bodies to the higher spirits. The remains of the family were found floating down the Zumpango River about a week after they went missing. All the bodies had marks of sadistic tortures. They were missing fingers, ears, hearts, toes, sex organs, some were missing their brains and at least one body had its spine ripped out. The missing organs and body parts were used in his rituals and aided to his cauldron of blood.

Shortly after that Adolfo met a woman named Sara Aldrete in 1988. She was a straight-A college student and a cheerleader. Sara was dating a man named Gilberto Sosa. He was involved in the Hernandez family who sold mass amounts of narcotics. Sara became unfaithful to Sosa with Adolfo. Adolfo told Sosa she was being unfaithful, and Sosa pushed Sara away, right into Adolfo’s arms. She began to believe in Adolfo and his dark religion as she felt she lost everything. He made his cult followers call her “La Madrina” which translates to The Godmother. He made her seniority level almost equal to his.

People who knew her still to this day don't believe she was willing to do such cruel things on her own. They think she was in a hostage position, but she wasn’t. She was living two separate lives and she was just like him and she joined him in doing unthinkable crimes.

Even though Sosa cut her off, the Hernandez family kept Adolfo around and gave him a ranch to live on. They believed in his magic and they wanted him to keep them and their drugs “safe.” Adolfo had proved his loyalty by killing an enemy drug lord for the Hernandez family. After this, they were all in. Adolfo had even made the leader Elio Hernandez what he called an executioner priest. He marked his body all over with sacred marks. The ranch he was given was called Rancho Santa Elena. Here he kept a torture chamber and a shed where he could dispose of the unused body or body parts. He did all his rituals here it became a sort of his own sanctuary.

About a year later in 1989 was when Adolfo made his biggest mistake.

His followers always did what he needed with no questions asked. He needed to do a sacrifice, to protect a large amount of marijuana they were about to transport. So his followers went out and brought him back a younger man. Usually, the knapped would scream and beg for mercy as they were being tortured but this one did not. Unsatisfied with the lack of pain, Adolfo said the spirits wanted him to sacrifice an anglo, (American male) because who he just murdered was not enough.

The cult set out scavenging the streets of Matamoros and found a man in his early 20’s named Mark James Kilroy from Santa Fe, Texas. He was a pre-med student and was in Mexico for spring break. He was described as all America, blonde hair, muscular build, very attractive, fraternity man.

They followed Mark and his friends as they left the bar. Mark’s friends had parked on the US side of the border and had walked over to cross to Mexico. As they were walking back his friends said they remember seeing Mark talking to a man with a scar on his face. They figured Mark was familiar with him since they heard him say something like “hey don’t I know you?” They retreated back for Mark searching a little but couldn’t find him. They walked back to the car assuming he was there waiting for them and saw nothing. They went home thinking he would make contact, but they woke up and realized he wasn’t there they knew something had happened to him.

At first, the police did not take his disappearance seriously, as there are many college students who “go missing” but turn up later the next day with a crazy hangover and no memory, but this wasn’t Mark’s case.

Most of the people that Adolfo took were people that didn’t really have anyone looking for them, but with Mark, it created a huge manhunt. Marks' family was even offering up to 15,000 for a lead to finding him. Texas was putting a large amount of pressure on Mexico to find Mark, but they were coming up empty-handed.

A few weeks later Serafin Hernandez Garcia, who was part of the cult, did not stop at a routine checkpoint. Serafin believed that the spell Adolfo put on the family was so powerful he would be able to just drive through and not be noticed. Well, he was noticed, and he was followed. The police followed them back to the Rancho Santa Elena since that place was already known to traffic drugs. When they were questioning the people on the farm they had asked if they had seen Mark and showed a picture, since it has become almost routine at this point. One of them said yes, so they searched the grounds and found drugs, money, guns, and the shed.

They found Adolfo’s cauldrons which had boiled turtles and animals, body parts, bones, and candles everywhere. Mark Kilroy’s dismembered body was in the shed along with about 14 other bodies. Mark was killed with a machete, his legs were cut off at the knee, his eyes and heart were missing, and his spine had been ripped out. Some of the bodies had been buried in shallow grounds around the property. Some bodies had been cut with a knife, some had been hanged, shot, burned but and all of them were missing some parts of their body and organs. Adolfo was nowhere to be found.

After interviewing some of the Hernandez family and other cult members, making plenty of arrests, the police sent out a search warrant for Adolfo. Police then knew what they had found back at the ranch. They had a priest come to the property and do an exorcism and purification of the shed while they burned it down. Adolfo was enraged when he heard the news, but he was in hiding with Sara and 3 other cult members preparing to leave Mexico. He had been pulling his own tarot cards and the trader card had kept coming up. He was paranoid and he left with the ones he trusted the most.

A few weeks later the police were going door to door on an unrelated case asking questions. When they got to Adolfo’s hiding place he panicked and started shooting at them. They said he went crazy and was throwing money up and shooting it. The police called for backup and the total standoff lasted about 45 minutes involving at least 180 police officers. When Adolfo realized this was a war he was not going to win, he ordered De Leon (his hit man) to shoot him and Martin Quintana (his first follower). He said he would rather die with him then be taken by the police. De Leon did not want to shoot them. Adolfo said if he did not that horrible things would happen to him in hell.

So, he took the machine gun and shot them in the face so many times that when the police found them holding each other in the closet, they could not be recognized. Police had to wait for DNA to make sure they got Adolfo because there was a rumor his black magic tricked them.

Sara tried to flee but she was caught along with the other two cult members in the apartment.

They were named the “Los Narcosatanicos” by the Mexican newspaper called El Universal. Other writers had referred to them as “The Matamoros Cult” since that is where most of their cult doing happened.

They had killed over 20 people, but it is to be believed there were many more. Around that time frame, there had been many more murders similar to what the Matamoros cult was doing but they were never proven or connected to them.

Finally, in May of 1994 Sara Aldrete had received 62 years in prison. Elio and Serafin Hernandez and a few other cult members were sentenced to 67 years in prison. In 1998 the 67-year sentence was reduced to 50 years.
